FAQ

What's qidiq?

qidiq is a simple tool for asking a group of people questions in real time. Respondents answer via email with a single tap or click. The manager of a feedback group can view, export, and analyze their responses, and organize the members of the group, through a web interface.

Can I send out more than one question in an email?

The magic of qidiq is the crazy high response rates. Offering more than one question per email would ruin the response rates qidiq questions get, making it as ineffective as typical surveys. But don't worry, even though qidiq only does one question at a time, you can still ask multiple questions over time. We've found that spreading your questions out over time, instead of putting them into a survey, results in much higher response rates.

Who's it for?

qidiq is a great tool for groups that need to get quick answers through a simple application. We have active groups that include:

  • conference/event organizers
  • classrooms
  • communities
  • broadcasters
  • software developers
  • regional governments
  • co-working space owners
  • and dozens of other group types (we'd love to hear about your group!).

How much does it cost?

We currently have three plans: Free (no credit card required), Pro, and Premium. Visit the Plans + Pricing page to see what each one offers and how much they cost.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

You can ask simple yes/no, 5-star rating, or multiple choice questions. For each question, once respondents have answered, they can provide additional commentary. You can also save questions for later or schedule them to be asked at a future time.

How secure is my data?

We take every reasonable precaution to protect user data which includes your group's membership list (including their emails). If you set your questions' results to be hidden from users, then we only grant group administrators access. We won't use your data — whether you're asking questions or answering them — for anything other than delivering and improving the qidiq service. When you sign up, your password is securely stored as an encrypted hash (so even we don't know what it is).

What are the requirements?

The web application works in any modern browser, even mobile browsers. Respondents need a browser and an email address.

What are the limitations?

You're only limited by your chosen plan. See the available plans here. If you have needs that exceed the available plans, please contact us, we can make it happen!

How can I import email addresses from Outlook?

It's a simple 4 step process to get email address from Outlook into qidiq:

  1. Export your contacts from Outlook to an Excel file: Instructions.
  2. Open the Excel file using Microsoft Excel, select and copy (CTRL + C) the column of email addresses.
  3. Back in your web browser, open your qidiq feedback group's import page.
  4. Paste the email addresses into the first text area of your group's import page, add an import explanation, and click "Import".

I have an idea. How can I reach you?

We love ideas. Please mail us at info@qidiq.com. While we always appreciate suggestions, we hope you understand that we may use them without any obligation to compensate you for them (just as you have no obligation to offer them).
